The History of Anaesthesia Society was founded in 1986 and is based in the UK. The proceedings of every meeting they have held are published on this website, along with many other interesting pieces of information about the history of anaesthesia.

The Anesthesia History Association was founded in 1982 and is based in the United States. Their website also contains the published proceedings of all their meetings as well as other information about the history of anaesthesia.

Every four years an International Symposium on the History of Anaesthesia is held somewhere in the world. The proceedings of these meetings are always published in a book and these volumes provide a great variety of information on the history of anaesthesia.
